Description

Product Overview

The MYS5-385/20-1P+NPE series Surge Protective Device (SPD) is a high-performance lightning protection and overvoltage protection device specifically designed for low-voltage power distribution systems. This product strictly complies with EN 61643-11 and IEC 61643-11 standards, classifying as a Class 2 / Class II (Type 2) surge protective device. It features a 1P+NPE wiring configuration with a nominal AC voltage of 230V (50/60Hz). It effectively protects L-N and N-PE lines, making it suitable for single-phase TN-S and other grounding systems, providing a reliable lightning protection barrier for downstream equipment.

Excellent Electrical Protection Performance

In terms of core electrical parameters, this series demonstrates outstanding discharge and voltage limiting capabilities. The nominal discharge current (In, 8/20μs) for both L-N and N-PE lines is up to 20kA, and the maximum discharge current (Imax) reaches 40kA, allowing it to easily withstand strong lightning surges or power grid surge impacts. Regarding the voltage protection level, the L-N pole is controlled at ≤1.9kV, while the N-PE pole is as low as ≤1.5kV, ensuring that residual voltage is suppressed within a safe range. Furthermore, the product features extremely fast response times: ≤25ns for L-N and ≤100ns for N-PE. It rapidly conducts and discharges at the very moment transient overvoltage occurs, safeguarding sensitive equipment.

Robust Physical Design and Environmental Adaptability

The design of this SPD series fully considers the installation requirements of industrial and civil distribution boxes. The product utilizes standard 35mm DIN rail mounting (according to EN 60715). The housing is made of thermoplastic material meeting the UL 94 V-0 flame retardant rating, with a degree of protection of IP20, making it suitable for indoor installation. It has a wide operating temperature range and can operate stably in extreme environments from -40℃ to +70℃. For wiring, it supports conductor cross-sections from 1.5mm² to 35mm² (stranded wire) / 25mm² (flexible wire). The terminals use M5 screws with a recommended torque of 3.0Nm±10%, and it features a clear green/red dual-color operating status and fault indication window for convenient routine inspection and maintenance.

Intelligent Monitoring and Differentiated Advantages (NS Version)

This series offers two optional models: the standard version (MYS5-385/20-1P+NPE) and the smart remote signaling version (MYS5-385/20-1P+NPE (NS)). Both are completely identical in core lightning protection parameters, but the (NS) version is additionally equipped with a remote signaling terminal featuring a floating switching contact. This remote signaling interface supports an AC switching capacity of 125VAC/1A and a DC switching capacity of 30VDC/0.5A (connecting wire cross-section: 0.2mm², M2 screw, torque 0.25Nm). Through this remote signaling function, operation and maintenance personnel can remotely transmit the SPD's fault status (such as degradation or failure) to a monitoring system or alarm device, achieving intelligent and remote management of lightning protection equipment. This is particularly suitable for scenarios with extremely high requirements for system reliability, such as unattended base stations and industrial automation control cabinets.
