1. Product Overview

The BY2552 Digital Insulation Resistance Tester (also known as a megohmmeter, high-voltage megohmmeter, or HV insulation resistance tester) is designed for insulation testing in laboratories or on-site. It features a large LCD with white backlight, data storage/recall, automatic calculation of absorption ratio (DAR) and polarization index (PI), and automatic recording of data at 15 s, 30 s, 1 min and 10 min intervals.

With high resolution, easy operation, portability, accuracy, reliability and strong anti-interference capability, the tester is widely used in telecommunications, electric power, meteorology, data centers, oil fields, electromechanical installation/maintenance, and industrial enterprises. It is suitable for measuring the insulation resistance of various insulating materials, transformers, motors, cables and electrical equipment.

The instrument consists of medium/large-scale integrated circuits, including a high-precision micro-current measurement system, digital voltage booster and automatic discharge circuit. Only one high-voltage cable and one signal cable are required to connect the object under test; measurement is automatic, the result is shown on the large screen and the data is stored.
