Starship Fiber Laser Welding Machine – Ring Beam Design for Spatter-Free Welding

The Starship fiber laser welding machine is built around a unique ring laser design: an outer ring beam and an inner core beam are delivered to the workpiece at the same time. The ring preheats the material and stabilises the molten pool, while the core beam performs deep penetration welding. This dual-beam structure is what makes spatter-free, high-speed welding possible on any metal and any thickness.

1. Unique Ring Laser Design
  • Coaxial ring + core beam generated by the HW-AMB adjustable mode beam laser source
  • Ring beam width adjustable from 0 to 5 mm to match different joint geometries
  • Uniform multi-point heat input, low welding stress, minimum thermal deformation
  • Ring power ratio independently adjustable from the touch screen controller
2. Spatter-Free, High-Speed Welding
  • Stable keyhole and molten pool virtually eliminate spatter and porosity
  • No post-weld grinding or rework, weld bead appearance is smooth and uniform
  • Protective glass and optics last longer thanks to drastically reduced spatter contamination
3. High-Quality Welding on Any Metal, Any Thickness
  • Aluminium and aluminium alloy, copper and stainless steel
  • High reflectivity materials such as copper and aluminium are handled without back reflection issues
  • Weld seams are dense and crack free, with strength and sealing performance suitable for pressure parts
