AISI 446 UNS S44600 Stainless Steel Round Bars X18CrN28 Stainless Drawn Wires​

Ferritic stainless steel, heat resisting ( refractory ) grade AISI 446, UNS S44600

Nonhardenable, chromium steel with good resistance to corrosion and oxidation at high temperatures

where stress conditions are low. Has been used for furnace parts, kiln linings, and annealing boxes.

Type 446 stainless contains two grades

ASTM 446-1, UNS S44600, W.-Nr. 1.4749, DIN X18CrN28

Stainless 446 characterized by:

  • Extremely good resistance to reducing sulphurous gases
