PUR Hot-Melt Adhesive for Carpet Applications

Superior tuft bind strength for excellent fiber retention

High temperature resistance (up to 120°C for automotive carpets)

Excellent flexibility to prevent cracking under foot traffic

Moisture resistance for wet environments

Low VOC emissions meeting indoor air quality standards

Main characteristics

Thermoplastic adhesive that melts when heated (typically 80°C–160°C) and bonds fabrics upon cooling.

Reactive PU (PUR): Cures with moisture for permanent, wash-resistant bonds.

Non-reactive PU: Standard thermoplastic adhesive, flexible but less durable than PUR.

Used for seam sealing, lamination, hemming, and reinforcing textiles.
