1. Product Overview

PPGI colour coated steel coil is used where a metallic coated steel substrate and a finished painted surface are both required in one material. This product can be supplied on galvanized steel coil or galvalume steel coil, so it is suitable for different corrosion environments and downstream fabrication routes.

2. Technical Solution

The product uses a metallic coated steel base combined with an organic paint system. The metallic coating can be supplied as Z40–Z275 on GI base or AZ40–AZ150 on GL base. In practical use, the service result depends on the combined effect of metallic coating level, paint build, panel design, cut edge exposure, and installation environment.

The available paint systems include PE, SMP, HDP, and PVDF. Top side coating is 15–30μm. Back side coating is 5–10μm or 5+10–20μm. For projects exposed to stronger weathering, the paint system should be selected together with the substrate and metallic coating level rather than treated as an appearance option only.
