HXW Mold designs and manufactures custom thermoforming molds for lunch boxes, takeaway containers, compartment trays, bowls, and other rigid food packaging products.
Cup tooling is developed according to product depth, rim geometry, sheet material, machine limits and required output, with forming, cutting and cup-stacking solutions available.
Plastic cup tooling requires precise coordination of the cup-mouth diameter, rim geometry, draw ratio, plug-assist profile, bottom and sidewall material distribution, cavity-to-cavity cooling, and ejection and stacking performance. The forming and cutting interfaces must also match the customer’s cup-forming machine to ensure consistent dimensions, reliable lid fit and stable high-speed production across all cavities.
Mouth diameter and rim flatness are controlled according to the required cup geometry and sealing or lid-matching requirements.
Plug-assist design can be used for deep-draw cup products to support more suitable wall-material distribution.
Stacking pitch and cup geometry are developed to support stable nesting and separation during production.
Trial samples can be checked for cup volume, rim condition and nesting performance before shipment.
Please provide a product drawing or physical sample, the machine model and forming area, the sheet material and thickness, and the target output so that we can evaluate the cavity layout and prepare a quotation.

We manufacture thermoforming molds for drinking cups, yogurt and dairy cups, sauce and portion cups, and other round, rectangular or custom-shaped thin-wall cups. The cup volume, taper, bottom design, reinforcing ribs, rim profile and cavity layout can all be customized from your drawings or physical samples.
Our plastic cup molds are commonly designed for PP, PET and PS sheet. To improve wall-thickness distribution, we optimize the draw ratio, cavity profile, plug-assist geometry, forming-air and vacuum layout, and cavity-to-cavity cooling according to the selected material and sheet thickness.
Yes. We can design flat rims, U-shaped rims or rim profiles prepared for downstream rim rolling. If the cup requires a matching lid, please provide the lid drawing or sample so that we can verify the cup-mouth diameter, rim geometry, cutting diameter and lid fit during the mold trial.
Yes. We customize the mold dimensions, cavity layout, mold height, mounting system, forming and ejection direction, water and air connections, cutting interface and stacking interface according to your machine specifications. Machine drawings or existing mold drawings are required for final interface confirmation.
Please provide the cup drawing or physical sample, top and bottom diameters, cup height and volume, rim design, sheet material and thickness, machine brand and model, forming area, required cavity count, forming and cutting method, stacking method, rim-rolling requirements and target output.
Send us your product drawing or physical sample, together with the machine model, forming area, sheet material and thickness, and target output. Our engineering team will evaluate the cavity layout and tooling requirements before preparing a quotation.
