Product Overview

HXW Mold designs and manufactures custom thermoforming molds for lunch boxes, takeaway containers, compartment trays, bowls, and other rigid food packaging products.

The tooling is developed according to plate geometry, sheet material, machine limits and production requirements, with forming, cutting and stacking tooling available as a complete package.

Engineering Focus

Plastic plate tooling requires coordinated control of plate dimensions, rim width and flatness, material distribution, reinforcing geometry, cavity-to-cavity cooling, cutting accuracy, and stacking clearance. The forming, cutting and stacking tools must also match the customer’s thermoforming machine and sheet material to minimize warping, produce clean edges and ensure reliable denesting during high-speed production.

What types of plastic plate moulds can you manufacture?

We manufacture thermoforming molds for drinking cups, yogurt and dairy cups, sauce and portion cups, and other round, rectangular or custom-shaped thin-wall cups. The cup volume, taper, bottom design, reinforcing ribs, rim profile and cavity layout can all be customized from your drawings or physical samples.

How do you adapt the mould for different materials and control plate flatness?

Our plastic plate moulds can be designed for commonly used materials such as PP, PET and PS. We adjust the shrinkage allowance, draft angles, forming-air and vacuum layout, reinforcing structure and cooling system according to the selected material and sheet thickness to improve dimensional stability and reduce plate warping.

How do you prevent plastic plates from sticking together after stacking?

We optimize the plate taper, stacking steps, anti-nesting features, spacing between plates, and ejection and stacking geometry. These features help the finished plates stack neatly while allowing reliable separation during counting, packing and customer use.

Can the mould set be customized for our existing thermoforming machine?

Yes. We customize the forming mould, cutting mould and stacking tooling to match your machine’s forming area, mounting dimensions, stroke, forming direction, water and air connections, cutting system and stacking interface. Machine drawings or existing mould drawings are required for final interface confirmation.

What information do you need to quote a plastic plate mould?

Please provide the plate drawing or physical sample, diameter or overall dimensions, depth, rim width, compartment and reinforcing-rib design, sheet material and thickness, machine brand and model, forming area, required cavity count, forming method, cutting method, stacking method and target output.
