HXW Mold designs and manufactures custom food container thermoforming molds for takeaway boxes, meal trays, bowls and other rigid food packaging products.
The tooling can be developed according to the required egg count, packaging structure, sheet material, thermoforming machine and production requirements, with forming, trimming and stacking tooling available as a complete solution.
Egg tray tooling is developed around pocket fit, structural support, closure performance and stacking stability to protect the eggs during packing, handling and transportation.
Egg pockets are developed to provide suitable fit and support while maintaining the required tray or carton geometry.
For hinged cartons, the hinge and locking areas are considered together to support reliable closing and opening performance.
Ventilation holes or slots can be incorporated, while reinforcing ribs and center posts can be used to improve product protection and structural strength.
Closed-carton fit and stacking performance can be checked during mold trials before shipment.
The following information helps our engineering team evaluate the egg tray layout and prepare the tooling quotation.

Yes. Please provide compartment volumes, divider height, sealing requirement and the machine forming area. Replaceable inserts may be considered when several partition versions are required.
Yes. The tooling can be developed for hinged cartons, open trays or separate-cover structures according to the required packaging design.
Yes. Please provide the machine model, forming area and installation information so the tooling configuration can be evaluated accordingly.
The mold can be trialed in-house, with particular attention to pocket fit, carton closing and stacking performance. Trial videos and formed samples can be provided for confirmation.
The standard lead time is approximately five weeks after receipt of the deposit and approval of the final mold drawing. Complex projects or multiple mold sets may require additional time.
Send us your product drawing or physical sample together with the egg count, packaging structure, sheet material, machine model, forming area and target output. Our engineering team will evaluate the tooling configuration before quotation.
