DLMethionine feed grade is widely used in poultry farm and cattle feed.DL-methionine is an essential amino acid. This means that it must be obtained through the diet in adequate quantities to meet the animals body's needs. DL-methionine is obtained by the hydrolysis of protein by pancreatic enzymes during digestion. DL-Methionine is often the second most deficient essential amino acid in horse's diets, after L-lysine, due to its inadequate levels in commonly-fed cereal grains and grass. Animals and livestocks can only use amino acids if all essential amino acids are present at sufficient levels.

Use:
DL-Methionine is one of the basic units for composing the protein, is the only sulfur bearing amino acid among the essential amino acids, it participated in the transmethylation interior the animal body, the phosphorus metabolism and the adrenalin, choline and creatine synthesis, it also is the raw material of the protein and cystine synthesis. Methionine is unable to synthesize in the animal body, must take in from food.
