The ST505 Stationary Ultrasonic Flowmeter integrates into your management system to provide remote measurement services.

ST505 Ultrasonic flow meter uses reliable digital signal processing technology, transmitting flow measurement for a wide range of liquids and pipe sizes with high accuracy and reliability. Combined with outstanding performance transducers and higher industrial level materials, Flo-Instruments ensures long-term operation without concerns.

Clear menu display selections make instrument use very convenient. Clamp-on transducers provide flexibility across a wide range of applications.

The ST505 ultrasonic flowmeter is based on Transit-Time technology, which delivers high measurement accuracy. Using clamp-on transducers, it collects flow data by clamping onto the outside of the pipe, never contacting the fluid, thus preventing liquid pollution, pressure reduction, leakage, and other issues.

Installation Methods
V Method

The "V" method is considered the standard method. It usually provides more accurate readings and is used on pipe diameters ranging from 25mm to 400mm (1" ~ 16") approximately. It's convenient to use but requires proper installation of the transducer, contact on the pipe at the pipe's centerline, and equal spacing on either side of the centerline.

Z Method

The signal transmitted in a "Z" method installation has less attenuation than a signal transmitted with the "V" method. This is because the "Z" method utilizes a directly transmitted (rather than reflected) signal which transverses the liquid only once. The "Z" method can measure pipe diameters ranging from 100mm to 3000mm (4"~120").

N Method

With the "N" method, the sound waves transverse the fluid twice and bounce three times off the pipe walls. It's suitable for small pipe diameter measurement. The measurement accuracy can be improved by extending the transit distance with the "N" method (uncommonly used).

W Method

As with the "N" method, measurement accuracy can also be improved by extending the transit distance with the "W" method. The sound wave transverses the fluid four times and bounces four times off the pipe walls. It's suitable for very small pipes (diameter less than 50mm/2").
