Steel Fire Exit Doors

For a fire door to be an actual fire door it has to be a fire rated fire door, with a proven a fire rating that is at least as high as the rest of the building’s structure. Many external fire doors are not actual fire doors, but instead fire exit doors with push bar handles.

Fire exit doors on the other hand are not fire rated doors and tend to be fitted with push bars to permit rapid evacuation of a building and can be made from aluminium, composite, steel, timber and UPVC as amazingly enough do not have to be fire resistant. This is not to say fire exit doors cannot be fire rated, as they can be, it is just as things stand at the present they don’t have to be.

Standard & Certificate

Zhongwo steel fire doors are all tested in accordance with American or British Standard such as UL10(b) and UL10(c) and BS476:22 & EN1634:1. We can provide you with UL/WHI certificate or BS and EN certificates for various sizes and fire ratings.

Fire Rating

Zhongwo steel fire doors meet the requirement for up to 180 mins(20/30/60/90/150/180mins) fire rating as American standard doors. And fire rating up to 120 mins(30/60/90mins) as British standard fire doors.

Material

Generally we see galvanized steel sheet with thickness of 20-18-16 Ga. for sashes; and 18-16-14 Ga. Galvanized steel sheet for frames. This kind of steel sheet is environment-friendly and green without any harm to people.

As Options we offer you also 304 and 301 stainless steel which are more beautiful in surface and more durable in performance.

Infilling

Standard infilling materials by us are fireproof perlite board with different densities in harmony with various fire ratings.
