Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable 100G SR4 transceiver module
Description
OM3538SX101 is a parallel full-duplex 100GE Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP28) transceiver
designed for short-range multi-lane data communication. It offers four independent data lanes based on
850 nm VCSEL/PD array technology, and each lane is capable of 25GE operation for an aggregate data
rate of 100GE over 100 m OM4 MMF, 70 m OM3 MMF.
OM3538SX101 is compliant with the QSFP28 MSA and IEEE 802.3bm, PMD Type 100GBASE-SR4 and
CAUI-4, integrating DDM function for real-time performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Pin Descriptions
OM3538SX101 is a hot-pluggable QSFP28 transceiver. Hot pluggable refers to plugging in or unplugging
a module while the host board is powered. The QSFP28 host connector is a 0.8 mm pitch 38 position
right angle improved connector specified by SFF-8661. QSFP28 module contacts mate with the host in
the order of ground, power, followed by signal as illustrated by Figure 2-1.
