ADSS Fiber Optic Cable Overview
ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) fiber optic cable is designed to be installed without the need for conductive metal components, allowing it to support its own weight between structures. It is suitable for both single-mode and multimode fibers, with configurations available for up to 144 fibers.
Commonly used for aerial installations—from pole-to-building links to long-distance town-to-town connections—ADSS cables are ideal for duct applications in local networks, campus loops, and outside plant deployments. The complete cabling system, including suspension fittings, dead-end hardware, and termination enclosures, ensures high-reliability performance for a full transmission circuit.
Key Features
Can be installed without shutting down power lines.
Excellent anti-tracking (AT) performance, with a maximum operating sheath voltage up to 25 kV.
Lightweight, small diameter design minimizes wind and ice loading on towers and poles.
Capable of long-span installation—up to 1000 m between supports.
High tensile strength and wide temperature tolerance.
Long service life of up to 30 years.
