| Product Description | Epimedium, also known as Epimedium, Bishop's Hat, Fairy Wing, Epimedium or Yin-Yang Fire. The vast majority are endemic to southern China, Europe, Central Asia, South Asia and East Asia. Epimedium species are hardy perennials. There are four-petaled "spider-like" blooms most spring. The "active ingredient" in Epimedium is icariin, which can be found in standardized extracts at 5% to 60% potency. The above strengths are generally reserved for laboratory use. Icariin is said to work by increasing levels of nitric oxide, which relaxes smooth muscle. |
