Q: My fan never stops spinning. Is the clutch broken?
A: Possibly! A healthy clutch only runs the fan at full speed when hot. If it spins non-stop in cold weather, the clutch may be stuck (like a broken switch) or the temperature sensor is faulty. Get it checked—otherwise, you’ll waste fuel and wear out the fan faster.

Q: Does a fan clutch need regular maintenance?
A: No complex maintenance needed, but check it every 3 years/60,000km: Listen for unusual noises (worn bearings); Check for oil leaks (silicone oil leakage causes failure); Use an infrared thermometer to confirm the fan spins fast when the engine is hot.

Q: Why does my fan keep spinning after turning off the engine?
A: That’s normal! Residual heat continues to raise water temperature after shutdown. The clutch delays disengagement by a few seconds to cool down the engine, like how a stove fan keeps running after you turn it off. But if it spins wildly for >5 minutes, the clutch might be stuck and needs inspection.
