Applications

1. Petroleum, Chemical, and Natural Gas Industries

Petroleum extraction and refining: drilling platforms, oil production plants, refineries, gas stations, and oil pumping stations. These locations are filled with flammable and explosive substances such as crude oil, natural gas, gasoline, diesel, and hydrogen sulfide.

Chemical production: chemical plants, pesticide plants, fertilizer plants, pharmaceutical plants, paint plants, and resin plants. Large quantities of flammable and explosive chemical gases and dust are generated during production, processing, storage, and transportation.

Natural gas: natural gas processing plants, compressed natural gas (CNG)/liquefied natural gas (LNG) filling stations, and gas pipeline valve rooms.

2. Mining: Coal mines: underground tunnels, mining faces, ventilation openings, and transfer stations. Coal mines contain methane (gas) and coal dust, both of which are extremely potent explosion sources.

Other mines: metal mines (such as aluminum and magnesium powders) and sulfur mines also present combustible dust environments.

3. Military Industry and Aerospace
Production, storage, and testing sites for gunpowder, explosives, and ammunition.

Aerospace: Fuel filling stations, aircraft hangars (where fuel vapors may accumulate during maintenance), rocket propellant production plants, etc.

How do I determine whether I need explosion-proof lighting?
Simply put, if a location is classified as an "explosive atmosphere" and has been clearly divided into explosion-hazardous zones (e.g., Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2; Zone 20, Zone 21, Zone 22) according to national standards (such as China's GB3836), then all electrical equipment within that area, including lighting, must use explosion-proof products of the corresponding explosion-proof grade and type.

Key keywords: flammable gases, flammable vapors, combustible dusts, and flammable fibers. Whenever these substances may be present in the work environment, the use of explosion-proof electrical equipment must be prioritized to ensure the safety of life and property.
