Primary Function
1.Absorbs torsional vibration: Reduces harmful twisting vibrations generated by the crankshaft during engine operation, preventing fatigue failure of crankshaft, connecting rods, and other powertrain components.
2.Drives accessories: Typically integrated with the crankshaft pulley to drive the engine’s belt‑driven systems (fan, alternator, water pump, etc.).
3.Protects engine life: Stabilizes engine operation, reduces noise, and extends the service life of critical internal parts.
Design & Construction
1.A heavy‑duty, precision‑engineered component, usually consisting of an inner hub, an outer inertia ring, and a rubber or elastomer bonding layer between them.
