We enclosed the motor and belt drive in a double-wall sound-dampening housing, isolated the bowl assembly on rubber mounts, and selected an IE3 premium efficiency motor that runs cooler and quieter. The difference is about 12 dBA lower than a standard 60L machine — which means you can hold a normal conversation next to it while it runs.
