Chromium Online Water Quality Analyzer


>>Overview

This monitor operates autonomously under ‌long-term unattended continuous operation‌ based on field configurations. It is widely applicable to industrial pollutant discharge wastewater, industrial process wastewater, industrial sewage treatment plants, municipal sewage treatment plants, and similar scenarios. Depending on the complexity of on-site testing conditions, optional preprocessing systems can be integrated to ensure ‌reliable testing processes‌, ‌accurate results‌, and compliance with diverse operational demands.


>>Principle

The product employs the ‌diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric method‌ for total chromium detection. After mixing the water sample with a strong oxidizing agent, trivalent chromium (Cr³⁺) is oxidized to hexavalent chromium (Cr⁶⁺). In an acidic environment with an indicator present, Cr⁶⁺ reacts with the indicator to form a colored complex. The monitor detects this color intensity change, converts it into total chromium concentration values, and outputs the results. The amount of colored complex generated corresponds to the total chromium concentration.
