  • Pattern wear quantification: scan master pattern monthly, compare to baseline, compute wear vectors on parting lines, core prints, and gating contact surfaces
  • Sand mold cavity scan: digitize assembled sand mold before pouring, verify core placement accuracy, detect mold shift or core misalignment before metal is poured
  • Riser and gating removal optimization: scan as-cast part, compute optimal riser cutoff planes and gating removal paths, feed to robotic fettling cell
