The PXIe-8240 (Part Number: 784977-01) by National Instruments is a 40 Gigabit PXI Ethernet Interface Module. This PXI Express module has an Intel XL710 40Gb Ethernet controller. It incorporates two 40-Gigabit Ethernet QSFP + ports in a single slot PXI Express module and will work with both copper and fiber optic cabling. QSFP + 40GBase-SR4 offers a 40 Gigabit network through a multimode fiber optic link, with a fiber optic wavelength of 850nm and in a scope of 150m maximum. It is an economical and reliable way to include, supplant, or refresh the ports of a system hardware, notwithstanding being ensured by a lifetime guarantee. As it offers usefulness and adaptability, this QSFP + fiber optic transceiver can be hot-plugged whenever, enabling the user to introduce it without interfering with network activity or having to restart a computer.
