0.14-0.45mm tinplate coils are annealed by BA or CA to optimize weldability in terms of surface state, microstructure and performance to meet welding requirements in different scenarios. Other effects of annealing on tinplate performance:
1. Improved ductility: Annealing eliminates work hardening, making the steel plate easier to stamp and form, and avoiding cracking during processing before welding.
2. Maintaining corrosion resistance: The bright surface of BA annealing further enhances corrosion resistance; if CA annealing is properly controlled, the surface oxide layer can cooperate with the tin plating layer to prevent corrosion.
Application scenario example:
Food cans: 0.2-0.3mm CA annealed tinplate coils are used for can seam welding, taking into account both weldability and cost.
Electronic components: 0.14-0.2mm BA annealed tinplate coils are used for welding of micro parts, which require smooth surface and high welding reliability.
