The sprockets should be replaced together with rubber tracks. If new sprockets are installed on old rubber tracks, premature failure may occur because the alignment of the drive teeth and the track chain links will not be properly aligned. The track will eventually slide up and down on the drive teeth instead of gently applying the proper torque to rotate the track. We always recommend installing the rubber tracks and sprockets at the same time to extend the service life of both components.
