Description

The spray drying granulator is an integrated dry granulation system widely used in food, and chemical industries, capable of directly converting liquid feed into dried granules in a single step. The equipment consists of a hot air system, atomizer, drying tower, dust collection and recovery unit, and control system. The liquid material is atomized into fine droplets under high pressure or centrifugal force, which then come into full contact with clean, high-temperature hot air, enabling instant evaporation of moisture and producing either dry powder or hollow granules.

The system operates under closed negative pressure with multi-stage air filtration, meeting GMP cleanliness standards. All components in contact with the material are made of stainless steel, ensuring easy disassembly and cleaning. Parameters such as hot air temperature, feed rate, and atomization pressure can be precisely controlled, resulting in extremely short drying times—ideal for heat-sensitive materials that are prone to thermal degradation.

The final granules are porous, highly soluble, and uniformly sized, eliminating the need for secondary drying and simplifying the process flow. Compared to fluid bed granulation, this method avoids wet binding and is particularly suitable for processing liquid raw materials such as solutions, suspensions, and extracts. Equipped with an efficient dust collection system, it achieves high powder recovery rates and features high automation and strong continuous production capacity. It is a core device for granulation and drying of materials including oral liquid extracts, milk powder, flavorings, and traditional Chinese medicine extracts.
