The reciprocating piston working principle of the BW850/2 mud pump directly determines its core performance characteristics, with key impacts as follows:
Pressure and Displacement: The positive displacement supercharging design can generate a high pressure of 2.0-3.0 MPa, meeting the needs of deep drilling. The dual-cylinder double-acting structure compensates for the pulsation of a single cylinder, making the displacement (850/600 L/min) more stable and suitable for high-concentration mud transportation.
Media adaptability: Relying on the principle of one-way control by suction and discharge valves combined with leak-proof seals, it can withstand mud with a sand content of ≤10%. However, it is sensitive to impurities (which can easily cause valve blockage), necessitating strict filtration of the medium.
Speed regulation characteristics: The displacement is adjusted by changing the piston stroke frequency through a variable speed mechanism. In principle, it requires stopping the machine to shift gears, which ensures speed regulation stability but has lower flexibility compared to centrifugal pumps.
Wear and maintenance: Reciprocating friction between the piston and cylinder liner, as well as the valve plate, is a fundamental and inevitable wear and tear, directly affecting the sealing performance and lifespan. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly replace vulnerable parts and strengthen lubrication maintenance.
Startup and Load: Before startup, water injection and exhaust are required (the principle requires the pump chamber to be sealed to form negative pressure for water suction). Additionally, the startup load is relatively large, necessitating smooth engagement through a clutch to avoid power shock.
