Drilling Fishing Tools Brief Introduction

The male cone and female cone of fishing tool is a common fishing tool for fishing the inner hole of the string. It is a special tool for making thread and fishing from the inner hole of objects with holes such as oil pipe, drill pipe, sleeve milling pipe, packer and water distributor. The male cone is made of high-quality alloy steel and has the advantages of high strength, high toughness and easy thread making.

According to the specification of joint thread and fishing thread, male taper is divided into right-hand thread (positive thread male cone) and left-hand thread (reverse thread male cone). Some male cones have chip removal grooves.
Fishing thread is divided into serrated thread and triangular thread.

The mother cone is a tool for fishing the string from the outside of the fish top. It is a tool specially used to make thread and fish from the outer wall of the tubular falling objects such as drill pipe and oil pipe. It can be used for fishing cylindrical objects without inner hole or blocked inner hole.

Like the male cone, it is also made of high strength alloy steel forging stock car and processed. Some female cones are also provided with chip removal slots.

Fishing thread is divided into serrated thread and triangular thread, and the thread specification is the same as that of male cone.

When the female cone covers one end of the tubular falling object, proper WOB is applied and the drilling tool is rotated to force the fishing thread to squeeze into the outer wall of the falling fish to make a buckle. When the buckle can bear a certain amount of tension and torque, the method of lifting or reversing can be adopted to remove all or part of the falling objects. The principle of button making is extrusion and feeding without cutting.

When the tool is 1-2cm down to the top of the fish, start the circulating pump for flushing, and gradually lower the tool to the top of the fish, and observe the change of pump pressure. If the pump rises suddenly and the suspended weight of the weight indicator drops, it means that the fish top enters the mother cone and can be used for fishing. If the hanging weight gradually drops and the pump pressure does not change, it means that the fish top does not enter the mother cone, the drill string should be lifted up, and then the pipe string should be turned to weigh the fish cavity until the hanging weight and pump pressure have obvious changes, that is, the fish top is put into the cavity, which can be used for fishing under pressure. When fishing fish with small outer diameter of fish top and no obvious change of pump pressure, guide shoe structure should be adopted to prevent wrong buckle position and cause accidents. It should be noted that the top of the fish is not allowed to be slammed during the fishing operation, so as to prevent the fish top or fishing thread from being damaged. In particular, attention should be paid to the analysis and judgment of thread position to avoid serious consequences.
