MS-111 Epoxy Stripping Agent Description: MS-111 will readily soften and strip most organic systems, such as epoxies and polyurethanes. It will not attack any metal surfaces or valuable parts during the time necessary to remove polymers. Caution: It may darken stainless steel and aluminum. Advantages: • Nonflammable • Low in viscosity • Free rinsing in alcohol • Available in quart and gallon container(s) Physical Properties: Color……………………….........……..Light to dark amber Boiling point………………….………..…….….104ºF/40ºC Vapor pressure……….………...340 mmHg @ 68ºF/20ºC Density…………………………......1.25g/cc @ 77ºF/25ºC Form………………….……………….……………….Liquid VOC Content………………………………………...275 g/l Directions for use: Vent containers carefully to equalize pressure and pour material carefully at room temperature to avoid splashing and boiling. MS-111 is to be used at room temperature. Coatings: MS-111 may be applied with a brush containing only non-plastic bristles and handle. When film has lifted, either scrape or rinse with alcohol. A second application will occasionally prove necessary. Castings: Place object to be stripped in tank, cover with liquid, and allow to stand until plastic has disintegrated or loosened. This will vary from minutes to days depending on casting thickness. Remove with a hook or basket. Flush with clean alcohol. Storage: MS-111 should be stored at/or below room temperature in a glass or polyethylene container, which should be covered tightly to retard evaporation. MS-111 should be used as soon as practicable and not stored for prolonged periods in other than original container or glass. Keep tightly sealed. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available upon request.
