Customized High Quality High Precision OEM Aluminum Stainless Steel Laser Cutting Service
Product Introduction
Laser cutting is a precision machining technology that utilizes a high-power-density laser beam to irradiate material, causing it to rapidly melt, vaporize, or reach ignition point. Simultaneously, a high-speed gas stream blows away the molten material, thereby achieving material separation. This process is a non-contact machining method, offering significant advantages such as high cutting precision, fast speed, smooth kerf, small heat-affected zone, and excellent flexibility.
Its core working principle involves a laser generator (typically CO2, fiber, or YAG) producing a high-energy beam, which is collimated and focused through an optical system (including mirrors and focusing lenses) to form an extremely small spot (usually less than 0.5 mm in diameter) on the material surface. The highly concentrated energy instantly raises the local material to its phase transition temperature. Assist gas (such as oxygen, nitrogen, or air) is coaxially ejected from the cutting head, which both removes molten slag and, for certain materials, participates in chemical reactions (e.g., oxygen combustion support) to enhance cutting efficiency.
The laser cutting process is suitable for a wide range of materials, including metals (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys), plastics, wood, ceramics, glass, and textiles. Process parameters—such as laser power, cutting speed, gas type and pressure, and focal point position—require fine-tuning based on material properties. Modern laser cutting systems are typically integrated with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology, allowing direct import of CAD design files and automatic execution of complex shape cutting, achieving high automation and repeatable accuracy.
However, the process also has some limitations, such as high initial equipment costs, relatively slower speeds when cutting thick plates, and difficulties processing highly reflective materials (like copper and gold).
With technological advancements, laser cutting is evolving toward higher power, greater intelligence (e.g., real-time monitoring and adaptive control), and broader material applicability. It has become an indispensable advanced manufacturing method in industries such as general manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, electronics, jewelry, and creative design.
