Description

Designed for heavy‑duty applications, this 55 g/m² cellophane (custom heavy grade) delivers outstanding tensile strength (MD ≥70 N/15mm) and tear resistance. It serves as base film for pressure‑sensitive adhesive tapes, tear tapes, and industrial insulation. The film is resistant to oils and solvents, and can be printed with brand logos. Despite its strength, it remains fully biodegradable – a green alternative to PET and BOPP films.

Process Introduction

This heavy grade is produced via the traditional viscose process with extended xanthation to achieve higher molecular weight and orientation. The viscose is extruded at higher solids concentration, then stretched during regeneration to align cellulose chains. Multi‑stage drying ensures uniform thickness. The film can be coated with acrylic or rubber‑based adhesives for tape applications. No plasticizers – remains strong yet biodegradable.
