Entering the heavy-duty category, 40 g/㎡ waxed paper is designed for more demanding applications: gasket interleaving in automotive parts packaging, heavy industrial wrapping, and premium craft backing. The high-gloss surface resists oil and moisture, while the increased thickness (0.08-0.10 mm) provides cushioning protection. Suitable for both mechanical interleaving and manual wrapping.

Process Introduction

40g waxed paper uses a higher proportion of long-fiber chemical pulp to achieve superior mechanical strength. The pulp undergoes extended high viscosity refining to maximize fiber bonding. Paper is formed on a cylinder paper machine for uniform thickness, then pressed and dried on multiple cylinders. Supercalendering under controlled conditions creates the glossy surface without compromising the fiber structure. Finished rolls are slit to customer specifications (typically 762mm, 889mm, or 1092mm widths).
