Product Overview

The B&R 8V1090.00-2 is a modular ACOPOS servo drive rated at 4 kW and 8.8 A. It supports three-phase 400 to 480 VAC mains input and incorporates a line filter, braking resistor and electronic restart inhibit.

Four plug-in module slots allow the drive to be configured with the communication, encoder and additional interface modules required by the machine. Exact replacement therefore requires verification of both the base drive and every installed 8AC module.

The drive is used for servo-axis control in packaging, printing, plastics processing, textile, material-handling, metalworking and automated production machinery. Final motor compatibility depends on the motor rating, encoder interface, motor cable, feedback cable and drive configuration.

Before ordering, verify the complete drive model, mains voltage, current rating, motor model, encoder type, brake requirement, installed plug-in modules, POWERLINK or other network interface, firmware, controller project and parameter backup.

The holding-brake circuit and electronic restart inhibit must not be treated as a complete personnel-safety function without validation of the entire machine safety architecture.
