Before replacement, preserve the EcoStruxure Machine Expert project, firmware, libraries, Sercos configuration, axis parameters, encoder setup, Ethernet settings, serial parameters, safety configuration and TM3 expansion layout.

The servo-drive firmware, motor feedback type, axis addressing, network timing and machine-safety functions must be verified before commissioning a replacement controller.

Do not assume that a controller with the same axis count will accept the same project without hardware and firmware checks.
