The S2 encoder uses the EnDat 2.1 interface with 2,048 signal periods. It provides absolute angular position within one shaft revolution. Drive and feedback-cable compatibility must be confirmed.
The RNNN ending means increased concentricity. It does not indicate ATEX construction. This configuration can be valuable where the motor is directly coupled to a precision gearbox, roller, ballscrew or measuring mechanism.
The motor has a plain shaft and no integrated holding brake. Coupling and load-holding requirements must therefore be addressed separately.
Typical uses include precision machine tools, printing machinery, converting systems, high-torque handling equipment, winding lines and automated production modules.
