Automatic and Manual Control Descaling Water Purifier
Automatic Iron and Manganese Removal Well Water Filter designed for optimal performance with 2000L capacity.
Iron and Manganese Filter System
Groundwater in many regions contains elevated levels of iron (5-15mg/L, up to 20-39mg/L) and manganese (0.5-2.0mg/L, sometimes exceeding 2.0mg/L). When untreated, this water appears clear initially but becomes turbid over time and develops a ferruginous odor. Excessive iron and manganese can damage ion exchange resins, contaminate reverse osmosis membranes, cause scaling in boilers, and promote iron bacteria growth in cooling systems.
Our iron and manganese removal filter combines oxidation, ion replacement, retention, and clarification processes in a customized design that delivers reliable, stable water treatment results.
Treatment Process and Standards
Effective iron and manganese removal requires aeration to oxidize bivalent iron and manganese into Fe(OH)₃ and MnO₂. Depending on concentration levels, we employ jet aeration or hollow multi-faceted ball aeration systems. Single or multi-stage filtration ensures treated water meets national drinking water standards with iron content ≤0.3mg/L and manganese content ≤0.1mg/L.
After treatment, groundwater with previously elevated iron content (typically 2-16mg/L) achieves iron levels ≤0.3mg/L, fully compliant with GB5749-85 drinking water quality standards.
Application Scope
- Groundwater iron removal systems for iron content ≤8mg/L
- Groundwater iron removal systems for iron content >8mg/L to ≤16mg/L
- Ideal for small towns, rural water supply, industrial and mining enterprises, industrial water applications, and water softening/desalination processes
System Advantages
- Fully automatic operation integrating water inlet, oxygen flushing, distribution, filtration, backwashing, and discharge processes
- No additional equipment required - eliminates need for suction devices, air compressors, backwash pumps, or water towers
- High-efficiency manganese sand filter media ensures consistent water quality and quantity
- Optional electrical control system with high/low water level monitoring enables fully automated, unattended operation

Multi-Media Filtration System
This system effectively removes suspended matter, particles, colloids, turbidity, and chromaticity from raw water. Advanced micro-flocculation filtration with multiple layers of specialized media ensures SDI values ≤4, providing critical protection for downstream RO systems.
Multi-media filtration efficiently removes insoluble particles including oxides, turbidity, and visible matter with low operational costs and easy maintenance. Backwash cycles occur every 16-48 hours, controlled by pressure parameters and automated sequencing.
Activated Carbon Filtration
Our activated carbon process provides essential water treatment capabilities including:
- De-coloring: Removes chromaticity from iron, manganese, and organic pollutants
- Dechlorination: Eliminates odors from residual chlorine
- Organic compound removal: Targets pesticides, insecticides, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and aromatic compounds
- BOD and COD reduction
- Organic chlorine removal: Effectively eliminates THMS and other disinfection byproducts
- Ammonia and nitrite removal
- Protection for ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis cartridges
- Odor elimination and removal of trace heavy metals
Water Softening System
Our softening system utilizes strong acid-type cationic resin to remove calcium and magnesium ions, reducing water hardness to <0.03 meg/L (CaCO₃) and minimizing scale formation.
The corrosion-resistant stainless steel tank (3,000L/hr capacity) features a durable control valve and high-efficiency cation resin with uniform granularity and large exchange capacity.
The integrated salt suction system includes liquid level control, filtration, and automatic water return functions to prevent contaminant entry during regeneration cycles. Widely applied in boiler water treatment, solar heating, chemical industry, and aquaculture.
