Pure Water Purification Technology Multi Stage Filtration PLC Control System Solution
DI Ultrapure Water Device for Electronic Optical Disc Production
Ultrapure water equipment utilizes a comprehensive pretreatment + reverse osmosis + EDI system to effectively remove salts, impurities, bacteria, and other contaminants from water, ensuring the produced water quality meets enterprise production requirements.
System Overview
The system features an integrated design with modular installation, offering low energy consumption and minimal space requirements. By combining RO reverse osmosis and EDI technology with steady flow pressure control, and supported by advanced pretreatment, the system delivers stable water quality, easy operation, low operating costs, environmental friendliness, and simplified maintenance. Produced water achieves resistivity ≥ 18.2MΩ.CM at 25°C.
EDI Technology Applications
EDI high purity water equipment serves as secondary desalination following reverse osmosis, producing water up to 10-18.2MΩ.CM. Widely used in microelectronics, semiconductor manufacturing, power generation, pharmaceutical industries, and laboratories. Also suitable for pharmaceutical distilled water, food and beverage production, power plant boiler makeup water, and various high purity water applications.
EDI utilizes anion and cation membranes in symmetrical stacked configuration with ion exchange resins. Under direct current voltage, continuous ion exchange and water electrolysis generate H+ and OH- ions for constant resin regeneration, producing increasingly pure water.
EDI equipment combines reverse osmosis and ion exchange technologies with intelligent PLC control systems, automatically monitoring and displaying water quality while ensuring consistent water production.
EDI Advantages Over Traditional Ion Exchange
- Requires only 5% of the resin used in traditional methods
- No chemical regeneration needed, reducing acid, alkali, and cleaning water consumption
- Clean production technology with no waste acid/alkaline discharge
- Easy automation integration with stable water quality
- Produces electronic grade water (resistivity 15-18MΩ-cm, endotoxin <0.1mg/L)
- Excellent removal of weakly dissociated substances (CO₂, silicon, boron, ammonia)
- Continuous production process without regeneration downtime
