6. Installation Instructions
- Install with OEM marked orientation, reverse mounting forbidden;
- Fully remove old gasket residue, carbon deposit and rust; flange flatness ≤0.06 mm;
- Tighten bolts diagonally in 3 stages:
Pre-torque:40 N·m → Intermediate torque:75 N·m → Final torque:110~120 N·m
- Retighten final torque after 2 hours cold startup operation;
- Do not apply liquid sealant, excess glue causes over-compression and gasket extrusion;
- Replace with new gasket unconditionally once manifold is disassembled; reuse prohibited.
7. Replacement Criteria
Replace gasket 12420484 if any issue occurs:
- Graphite layer burnt, steel layer perforated, delamination or flattened sealing beads;
- Audible exhaust hissing, local flange overheating and red hot;
- Individual cylinder exhaust temperature abnormal, power derate and frequent unit alarms;
- Adjacent hoses/wiring baked and carbonized by leaked hot gas;
- Torque retightening fails to eliminate persistent leakage.
