Industrial CuNi 70/30 Seamless Pipe Anti-corrosion C70600 Copper Nickel Tube

1.Product Description

Copper-nickel pipe is a corrosion-resistant tube manufactured from a copper-nickel-iron alloy system. It is produced by either cold-drawing seamless billets or roll-forming and welding strip. The material naturally forms a protective, adherent oxide film when exposed to clean seawater, which gives it exceptional service life. This pipe is available in both annealed (soft) and drawn (hard) tempers to suit different fabrication needs.

2.Product Functions

  • Pressure containment at elevated temperatures – Operating pressure rating follows ASME B31.1 for power piping.

  • Sacrificial layer formation – The outer oxide layer self-repairs if mechanically damaged in oxidizing water.

  • Resistance to hydrogen grooving – Suitable for sour service (wet H₂S) with proper pH control.

  • Galvanic compatibility – When coupled with noble metals (titanium, Monel), galvanic current is minimal.

3.Product Applications

  • Power plant cooling systems: Secondary cooling loops and auxiliary cooling water.

  • Subsea oil & gas: Hydraulic control lines and chemical injection tubing.

  • Desalination: Multi-stage flash (MSF) and reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment piping.

  • Ship repair and retrofit: Replacement of corroded steel pipes in older vessels.

  • Brewing and food processing: Heat exchanger tubing for wort cooling (non-toxic, non-tarnishing).
