This is the bottom part of the container that holds the elevating mechanism.
Material: Almost always made of polypropylene (PP) plastic. PP is chosen for its stiffness, durability, chemical resistance (it won't react with the deodorant ingredients), and cost-effectiveness. Some premium or zero-waste brands might use post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic or even metal (like aluminum).
Mechanism: Inside the base is a simple screw mechanism.
A threaded column rises from the center of the base.
A twist knob at the bottom of the base engages with this thread. When the user rotates the knob, the threaded column moves up or down, pushing the platform with it.
Design: The base is usually slightly wider than the tube to provide stability and prevent tipping over. It often features ribbing or grooves for better grip while twisting.
