Capped vs Uncapped Composite Decking Boards
Composite decking with capped edges is an upgraded version of the original product. Composite decking with a polymer shell and a deep 3D embossed wood finish is more advanced than the first generation of uncapped composite decking. The soft porous core is protected by large, stiff molecules, which reduce water absorption and extend the decking's lifespan. Composite products also benefit from the cleaner, more appealing finish that can be achieved using this method.
For the first few months, the color of first-generation composite wood decking fades slightly, but after that, it stays the same. Capped composite decking is more resistant to fading and staining because of its polymer shell. Capped composite decking, on the other hand, has a high level of slip resistance. However, compared to uncapped composite decking, it has a lower level of slip resistance. The polymer (plastic) shell of its protective shell makes it a little more slippery. Uncovered composite decking is a great option if you need a deck with a high level of slip resistance. More traction is provided by 3D wood grain or grooves in composite decking.

How to Clean Composite Decking?
Composite decking is very easy to clean, next we briefly describe how to clean your composite wood deck. Before you start cleaning your composite deck, have the following items on hand. A standard bottle of dishwashing detergent A medium hardness nylon broom or brush A mop A bucket of warm water After preparing the above items, we can follow four simple steps to clean the outdoor deck. 1. Remove all furniture and decorations from the outdoor decking. Make sure you can thoroughly clean the entire composite wood decking. Then sweep the deck with a broom to remove all loose dirt and leaves. 2. After removing the debris from the deck surface, first rinse the floor with warm water. Then prepare a mixture of warm water and detergent. The consistency is similar to the way you would wash dishes. 3. Scrub the entire decking with a mop and warm, soapy water, using good pressure to get into the grooves and remove stubborn dirt and grime. 4. After carefully scrubbing the composite lumber decking, rinse off any remaining soap and residual dirt with clean water. Allow the outdoor deck surface to dry and move furniture and decorations back into place.

Make sure your deck's joists are no more than 30 cm apart, allowing for double joists in cases where butt joints are required.
Install the first composite deck with precision using the starting fasteners. After that, matching hidden fasteners are recommended for a quick and secure installation.
Allow enough space between neighboring composite deck joints to allow for deck expansion.
Use a straight board to guide the circular saw when trimming to the size of the deck edge. This will give the composite trim board a more defined edge.
