The Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) Lumire fiber optic terminus is engineered for demanding commercial airframe, avionics, and aerospace applications. Designed as a direct replacement for EN4531 termini, it offers seamless compatibility with existing EN4531 (or ELIO) connectors. This hermaphroditic fiber optic contact features a field-proven 2.5mm diameter ST type ceramic ferrule, allowing for versatile use in both receptacle and plug configurations. Available in multi-mode and single-mode versions, the Lumire terminus supports PC, UPC, or APC polishes with an integrated anti-rotation feature. Its ST type ferrule ensures that well-known and proven termination procedures and tools can be utilized. Long and short boot options are available to accommodate various connector types, and a pull-proof option is offered for applications without strain relief. The Lumire terminus is designed to support both tight and loose structure cables, and AFSI also provides a comprehensive range of EN 4531 circular and rectangular connectors to house these termini.
