As its core material, DuPont filament (a high-strength synthetic fiber developed by DuPont) gives the rope superior performance compared to traditional ropes. Unlike ordinary nylon or polyester ropes, DuPont filament has extremely high tensile strength—even the thinnest 3.5mm diameter rope can withstand considerable loads, while the 20mm diameter rope can handle heavy-duty traction and lifting operations. It is lightweight, less than one-seventh the weight of a steel cable of equivalent diameter and strength, making it easy to carry, handle, and deploy without placing an undue burden on the user or equipment. Meanwhile, the fiber has excellent abrasion resistance and tear resistance. The rope surface is treated with a special coating to enhance smoothness and reduce friction, effectively extending its service life. With proper maintenance, its service life is 2-3 times that of other ordinary ropes.
