(HIGH MAST) POLE SEAM-WELDING MACHINE
Model: HM800/14000 / Submerged Arc Welding
Product Overview
This automatic pole seam-welding machine is specially designed for monopoles, high-mast poles, 5G communication poles, and standard street light poles. It is an automated longitudinal closing & welding line that delivers consistent, high-quality welds on medium-size polygonal and conical poles — especially poles with a single longitudinal seam. The motorized trolley pulls the pole through the welding zone at an adjustable speed, while hydraulic cylinders drive pressure wheels to clamp the pole tightly during welding. The result: a straight, torsion-free seam with minimal deformation — cycle after cycle.

Core Advantages
- Fully Automatic CNC Adjustment The CNC system automatically adjusts clamping pressure, presser-foot position, and feeding speed as the pole diameter changes — keeping the seam perfectly closed throughout the weld for smooth, consistent results.
- Torsion-Free Welding Built on a properly aligned previous process, the welded pole seam has zero torsion. No operator needs to pry or twist the pole behind the machine to re-center the seam — saving significant labor.
- Variable-Frequency Drive with Electric Brake The pole drive uses VFD control with electric braking, ensuring stable start and stop for clean head-and-tail welding. The system welds the full length from small end to bottom end with almost no unwelded leftover, reducing downstream manual work.
- Three Sets of Clamping Rollers Distributing pressure across 3 roller sets reduces surface pressure and minimizes scratches on the pole surface. Ideal for octagonal, polygonal, and conical poles — both equal-diameter and tapered.
- Motorized Fast-Return Trolley The push-type trolley returns automatically — no manual pushing, lower operator fatigue.
- Pneumatic Rear Clamping The rear push trolley uses a pneumatic clamping device — simpler and faster than manual clamping.
- Submerged Arc Welding Deep penetration, smooth weld bead, low spatter, high deposition rate — ideal for thick-wall pole production.
- Roller-Type Unloading (Same-Side Load/Unload) The unloading side uses a roller rack for easy loading and unloading and supports upstream/downstream automation. Loading and unloading can be on the same side, so the operator works only at the main machine position — no long-distance walking, greatly reduced labor intensity.
- Adaptive Rear Pole-Guiding Device The rear guide adjusts adaptively, so the weld-seam position rarely needs manual adjustment in practice.
- Camera-Based Seam Tracking A camera mounted on the welding head projects the seam onto the main control panel screen — making seam tracking simple and reducing the operator's monitoring burden.
- Self-Developed Hydraulic & CNC System Ensures the welded pole stays round with minimal deformation.
- Single Operator Only 1 person is required to operate the full line.
- 5 Sets of Unloading Roller Racks Suitable for 12 m and 14 m poles.
- Customizable Working Direction Machines can be configured for left-to-right or right-to-left operation to match your workshop layout.
- Custom Design Available We can specially design and manufacture machines to meet different pole types and production requirements worldwide.

FAQ
Q1: What is the maximum pole length and diameter this machine can handle?
A: The standard configuration handles poles up to 14,000 mm long and 200 – 800 mm in diameter. With the optional street-light clamping roller, the diameter range extends down to 60 mm.
Q2: Can this machine weld both conical/tapered poles and straight (equal-diameter) poles?
A: Yes. The CNC system automatically adjusts clamping pressure and feeding speed as the diameter changes, so it handles both conical and equal-diameter poles — including octagonal and polygonal profiles.
Q3: Can the machine be customized for my workshop layout?
A: Yes. We offer machines with different working directions (left-to-right or right-to-left) and can custom-design configurations for special pole types, lengths, or production requirements.
