F61 F65 2507 2205 Torx Pan Head Security Tapping Anti Theft Tapping Metal Screw Din14585

This anti‑theft screw combines a Torx drive (six‑lobe recess) with a tapping thread that forms its own mating threads in pre‑drilled holes, eliminating the need for tapping operations. The screw conforms to DIN14585 for tapping screws. Materials are high‑performance duplex and super duplex stainless steels: F61, F65, 2205, and 2507. These alloys offer twice the yield strength of 316 and outstanding resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. The pan head has a low profile, and the Torx drive allows high installation torque while the pin‑free standard Torx (or pin‑in‑Torx if specified) provides some security against casual tampering. Ideal for corrosive environments where theft prevention is also required.
| Industry | Usage |
|---|---|
| Automotive | High-strength applications in engines, heavy-duty machinery, and bridge construction |
| Mechanical | Connecting mechanical parts, circuit boards, engines, transmissions in various industries |
| Energy | Connecting power generation equipment and transmission lines |
| Architectural | Building structures, shipbuilding, and petrochemical equipment |
Desalination plants – assembling plastic or composite components.
Offshore wind turbine internal cabinets – high strength and corrosion resistance.
Chemical storage tank access covers – tapping thread into thick FRP.
Marine exhaust system brackets.
Food processing equipment in high‑chloride washdown areas.
Duplex / Super Duplex material – extremely high strength (up to 1000 MPa) and superior pitting resistance (PREN >40).
Tapping thread – saves pre‑tapping labour, works well in plastics and soft metals.
Torx drive – high torque transfer, reduces cam‑out.
DIN14585 compliance – standardised dimensions for tapping screws.
Anti‑theft by rarity – Torx is less common than Phillips, and duplex material is hard to drill.
