Description

This custom CNC machined flow restrictor insert is designed for liquid cooling circuits where a specified orifice helps regulate flow through an individual branch, such as a server cold plate loop or an industrial electronic cooling assembly. The metering bore and locating shoulder position the insert within its mating component, while the sealing interface helps prevent unintended bypass flow where the design requires it.
Stainless steel may be suitable for certain coolant environments, but compatibility with the system's aluminum, copper, seals and coolant chemistry must be confirmed to reduce corrosion and contamination risks.
Before production, specify the target flow rate, operating pressure, coolant type, temperature range, metering bore diameter, installation depth and sealing method. Flow performance depends on the complete circuit, so hydraulic validation should use the specified test conditions rather than bore size alone.
