Description

This custom CNC machined optical filter wheel is designed for multispectral imaging systems and laboratory spectrometers that switch between different optical filters during image acquisition or wavelength-specific measurement. Each pocket holds a designated filter, while the central bore and indexing features interface with the rotation mechanism to position the selected filter in the optical path.
Black anodized aluminum helps reduce unwanted reflections from the mechanical wheel surface, although final stray light performance depends on the full optical design and finish specification.
Before production, confirm the filter diameter and thickness, pocket depth, retaining method, number of filter positions, center bore fit and indexing pattern. Pocket concentricity and dimensional consistency are important for reliable filter retention and repeatable positioning.
