Question: How does a paper cup machine work step by step?
Answer
The working process of a fully automatic paper cup machine is fully automated with minimal manual intervention, following these steps:
- Paper feeding
Food-grade PE/PLA coated paper rolls are fed into the machine via a feeding unit, and guided by positioning rollers to ensure smooth conveying.
- Blank cutting
The machine cuts the paper roll into individual fan-shaped blanks that match the cup size.
- Body forming & sealing
Blanks are folded into a cylindrical shape, and the overlapping edges are heat-sealed to form the cup body.
- Bottom feeding & bonding
Pre-cut bottom blanks are fed into the station, aligned with the cup body, and thermally bonded to the bottom of the cylinder.
- Rim curling
The top edge of the cup is curled inward to form a smooth, thickened rim for user safety and structural stability.
- Cooling & shaping
The semi-finished cups are cooled to solidify the sealed parts and fix the cup shape.
- Counting & discharging
Finished cups are counted automatically and discharged in batches to the collection zone.
