Product Overview
SNMG-GR is an indexable carbide turning insert with the GR chipbreaker. This 90° rhombic insert (geometrically a square negative-rake insert) features a double-sided indexable structure with robust cutting edges designed for heavy-duty rough turning. It performs exceptionally well in both continuous and interrupted cutting conditions, primarily designed for rough turning of carbon steel and alloy steel (ISO-P). The CVD coated carbide substrate provides excellent wear and chipping resistance for heavy stock removal in demanding machining applications.
