VBGT-AK is a 35° rhombic cemented carbide finishing insert designed for external turning, facing, profiling, and internal finishing operations. The AK suffix indicates a specialized finishing chipbreaker. Its small nose angle enables form turning of complex profiles, small-radius arcs, and narrow grooves. The sharp cutting edge reduces cutting force and surface roughness, while the optimized AK chipbreaker creates stable short curled chips at light cuts and low feeds to prevent chip entanglement.
