Sweeteners Daily Chemicals Mannitol CAS 87-78-5 Wetting Agents And Bulking Agents

Introduction:

This product is a white crystalline powder; odorless, sweet. Easily soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol. Melting point 166-170℃. Boiling point 290-295℃. It is relatively stable in sterile solution and not easily oxidized by oxygen in the air. The injection is a sterile aqueous solution of mannitol, which is a colorless clear liquid.

Uses:

Mannitol, also known as wood alcohol, is a hexol that can be used as a diuretic or sweetener. Mannitol is a polyol (polyol) produced by the hydrogenation reaction of fructose and is used as a sweetener, wetting agent and swelling agent. It has low hygroscopicity and poor oil resistance. It has 1.6 kcal/g. Its water solubility is about 22%, and its sweetness is about 72% of sugar, with a refreshing sweet taste. It acts as a dust remover together with the starch in chewing gum. It is used in sugar-free candies, chewing gum, cereals and mints. It is used as an analytical reagent and is also used in the synthesis of resins and drugs; it is widely used in the manufacture of chewable tablets such as hangover medicines and mouth fresheners, and its granular type is specially used as an excipient for direct tableting.
